Patrick Swayze

While the world mourns Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, actor Patrick Swayze continues to fight courageously against pancreatic cancer.

New photos have surfaced of the actor, from a June 18 holiday with wife Lisa Niemi, enjoying his Las Vegas, NM ranch.

Click here for photos of Swayze and his wife.

In cowboys and a canvas coat, Swayze and Niemi enjoy lunch at a local burger joint in their pickup truck.

Swayze's scripted A&E cop drama The Beast was a cancelled just two days before these snaps were taken. It lasted one season and averaged almost 1.5 million viewers per episode.

Micheal

This weekend was emotional for me. I will always remember where I was and what I was doing when I found out Michael Jackson passed. I remember getting the text, and my jaw just dropping. Just an hour earlier I was telling my friend Will that I was planning on going to London for the concert....and now I'm writing a blog reflecting on the extraordinary talent that the world will miss in Michael Jackson.

Ive heard many people say that it was like having a family member pass. As soon as I heard the news I hastily text every one in my family. My mother text me back asking if I was sure....I wasn't because I was in the car and had no way to verify the information I was getting...but the person who was sending me the updates would send me pretty reliable celeb death info so I assumed he was correct. Unfortunately he was.

I was on the air that night...as I am right now as I type this....and I remember that night being so chocked up....when I tried to mention him...I would almost cry. I had his music downstairs in my car and offered to bring it up to play on the air.....I probably would have played him all night. But I was told to play a particular tribute song that was like a montage of all of his hits....It was nice.
While I was on the air I called my friends because I was really shocked....and grief stricken.

I watched the tributes all weekend, followed the story. Reflected on how he influenced my childhood. My first memory of Michael Jackson was when I was 3. My mother took us next door to watch the Thriller music video premiere....I remember being in a dark house watching the premiere and being absolutely terrified. I was so terrified that I still to this day will not watch that whole video...or listen to the later part of the song where the Vincent Price starts to speak.

I remember our child hood baby sitter Nikki would walk us down to the neighborhood pool in the summer time and she had a huge silver boombox that she would carry with her, and we would always listen to the Jackson Five walking down to the pool.

My parents bought the movie Moonwalk and we watched it at least 5 times a day.
I remember wanting the Michael Jackson jacket....the red one.
Just recently got out of a relationship with a guy that I had fallen kind of hard for. I remember we would listen to Michael Jackson at his house, and during the break up, I would listen to Butterflies.

So many memories with Mike. Its amazing how you can feel like you know some one so well and not even meet them. He was so good at using he emotions and his talent to yank and tug at your emotions. Absolutely gifted, misunderstood beautiful Virgo man.

I would always tell people ....."my birthday is August 29....same as Michael Jackson....so don't forget!!!!" I really wish I could have met him....Like so many other people his music made you feel like you could connect with him. Even if that wasn't the case...you still felt that way.

This weekend I was able to witness the power of his music again. Alan, my 3 year old was playing with his cousin Katriel over the weekend in the frot yard and I decided to give Alan the gift of a great memory. I played Michael. And he lit up.! All of a sudden, their faces light up.....the kids are dancing....and it just took such a beautiful moment to a whole different level. Its amazing how his music doesnt know age, race, or gender boundries.....its truely good music for everyone.

Oh Michael, what have you done? I know you were tired but.....why did you have to go like that?
So now Im prayng that he gets all the rest his body and soul needed. And most of all that happiness he was so passionately longing for. Thank you for your gifts Mike...and Thank you God for giving him those gifts. I pray that I touch as many people with my gifts as you did Mike.

God Bless his family....I dont even know him and I miss him.....I cant imagine the pain they must be going through. God give them peace, and heal their hearts. Special prayers for his children, his mom, Janet, and Elizabeth.

David Cook Race For Hope Speech

I'm doing things a little differently as of late. Usually I go on the air, report senseless celebrity information....crack a joke and call it a day. I will admit that sometimes it is funny to laugh at the stupid things celebrities do. But lately, I have been feeling that the people that listen to me on the air deserve so much more. Sometimes we are so bombarded with the negative spins that media puts on everything that its very hard to see the good. It kind of makes you wonder if there is any good in the world at all. There is no doubt that bad things happen. Bad things happen to good people and the reverse. We should be very thankful that God gives us a chance to see the good in all things bad, if we choose to. I know its hard to understand...so Ill help you. Here is a great example.....

This weekend American Idol contestant David Cook gave a speech for The Race For Hope, which raises money for Brain Cancer Research. The Speech started off very light hearted as David told a few jokes and laughed at his inability to run long periods of time. He then went on to inform the crowd of 9,000 people that the day before he lost his 36 year old brother Adam to Brain Cancer the day before.... He chocked back his tears and continued to speak to the audience.

At this point I had tears in my eyes. I thought wow, he could have used this as an excuse to back out of this commitment to speak in front of all these people just hours after his brother loses his battle with cancer. He could have stayed home and gone through an array of emotions including anger, sadness, and morning. But he didn't. He woke up, completed his race, honored the life of his brother and said encouraged 9,000 people he didn't even know. There was one thing David said that showed me he understood what it meant to see the good in what some would perceive as bad. He told the audience " I lost one, but I gained 9,000."

David you gained so much more!!!

Amy WineHouse to adopt

Amy wants to adopt

A confidential source spoke to the UK’s Daily Mail and told them the following:
‘Amy is seriously thinking about adopting,’ says my source. ‘But she is aware it’s going to be incredibly difficult with her background.’

The news comes just a few weeks after it was revealed that her estranged husband Blake Fielder-Civil had made a woman pregnant at a Sheffield rehabilitation clinic

Adds the source: ‘Amy’s gutted about Blake becoming a dad and moving on so quickly. She has always wanted to be a mother. She loves St Lucia and would move there for good in order to adopt.’

I met an Angel

Happy Easter to every one!! So today I made it to two church services which is actually 2 more than I went to last year!!! I have decided to really take the time to work on myself and my spiritual, financial, physical growth. Since I have decided to do this (under the leadership of my parents church, and a very special life coach) I have seen an instant change in my character and how people are responding to me. So I plan to blog about all of my experiences both personal and professional so maybe you can get something out of my experiences too.

I'm a professional radio personality and I live in Houston Texas. One of my responsibilities as a radio personality is to do "appearances" at different businesses to promote what ever event they would like us to talk about. Well On Friday I had a remote at the Houston Zoo. It was called Wizard of OZ weekend and it was sponsored by the zoo and a company called Broadway Across America. Its funny...but if you really just pay attention, God performs little miracles all the time in our lives. Anyways on with the story...

Photobucket
During this promotion, the Houston Zoo had Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz come out and take pictures with children on a Yellow Brick road that was painted onto the pavement. It was cute, the yellow brick road lead to the lion, tiger and bear exhibits, which had scenes from the Wizard of oz movie on the glass.

It was an absolutely beautiful and picture perfect day. The children were really excited to see Dorthy. There was one child in particular who just stole the show. Her name was Courtney, Courtney Brook Rosas. Courtney was a 6 year old little girl who had a terminal illness called Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1. It was impossible for Courtney to sit up, speak, walk, talk, roll over, swallow or even breath on her own. Of course your first thoughts are oh...that's so unfortunate, and I can understand that. But Courtney said so much without even mumbling a word. You could see in this child's eyes that she had more joy in her heart than any of the kids running around her wheel chair.

So it turns out that Courtney was a Wizard of Oz fanatic!!! She was Dressed up exactly like Dorthy all the way down to her little Red slipper. And her little sister was equally as passionate about the Wizard of OZ and dressed like Dorthy too. They were there with their mother and grandmother. I thought the mother was Courtney's Sister because she looked so young! Turns out Courtney mother had her when she was 16. Can you imagine not only dealing with the fact that you're a single mother, but also a single mother of a child with a terminal illness!! Some people would say "God Why Me?" Some would simply walk away...Not Courtney's mom. I remember my first thoughts when I got to talk to them was wow, this little girl is so blessed! They love her so much. Have you ever been around a new couple? The love is so new and exciting you can feel it? Well, that's how the love in this family was, you could literally feel it.

After speaking to Courtney I learned that doctors said Courtney was only supposed to live to be 2, and here she is 6 years old and just having the time of her life. Anyways, We were doing a drawing to win tickets to see the Wizard of Oz on Easter Sunday. I didn't realize that Courtney and her family had entered to win the tickets. I did the last drawing and unfortunately they didn't win.

The winner was a young lady who I had met at another remote of mine at a club. That lady had waited 2 hours for the drawing as well, and was very excited when she won. Well some how those two families ended up talking, and all of a sudden Courtney's mother is crying. The lady gave Courtney and her family her tickets.

As I type this story on Easter Sunday, I remember something my mother said today in church. Easter is proof that God can take something meant for bad and make it good. We can look at Courtney's situation and say, that's horrible! That little girl is going to die so young! Its not fair. Just like Jesus could have said that's not fair I'm only 33 I don't want to die, this horrible death.... this young! Or you can look at the the other side of the coin. Courtney touched more lives in that 2 hour time span that I saw her, than most people do in a lifetime! Just like Jesus saved more souls in his 33 years on earth than any other person on this planet. Every life has a purpose. Courtney and her family are doing their jobs...are you doing yours?

And now a cerimonial dance from the Booty Wooty Tribe, enjoy :)

I always think its funny when I see people do these booty dances. A friend sent this to me and I couldnt stop laughing!!! If you fast forward to about 1:40 thats when it really gets interesting. Now there is no doubt, these girls worked really hard to perfect this "booty technique"  and they are talented. But, its also sad too.... They have figured out a way to make the brain move a part of the body that is not typically moved in that manner. What if they took the time they dedicated to doing this stupid (yet entertaining) dance, and applied it to something that actually mattered? Anyways...enjoy cause it is funny!!!!!

My flow so tight and the beat’s so sick

Boy hits girl
boy should be taken down
no matter who’s around
the more I searched for the more I found
that beast that cursed you decides been brown
you can take till your blue gets loose
you should come clean and tell the truth
for the money in the world but there's no excuse
to commit suicide your head’s been loose

Boy hits girl
boy should be taken down
no matter who’s around
the more I searched the more I found
that beast that cursed you decides been brown
you can take till your blue gets loose

Sarah Say It Aint So...

So Levi Johnston wants to live the life of the rich and famous according to Sarah Palin's family rep. The Palin family seems to be a little upset that Levi went on the Tyra banks show and said this.......

And so Sarah's peeps responded with this...

"We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship," Meghan Stapleton said in a statement Friday.

"Bristol's focus will remain on raising Tripp, completing her education, and advocating abstinence," Stapleton continues. "It is unfortunate that Levi finds it more appealing to exploit his previous relationship with Bristol than to contribute to the well being of the child."

"Bristol realizes now that she made a mistake in her relationship and is the one taking responsibility for their actions," Stapleton concludes.

So who do you think is the liar here....Sarah or Levi?

Will You ....OH CRAP!!!!!!

So a man decides to propose to his girlfriend on the Brooklyn Bridge when suddenly the unthinkable happens.....
